Airwear, primarily involved with the manufacture of smartphone imitations, has just presented a virtual reality device at the Barcelona MWC that differs from the design of similar models. Their VR headset does not need a wired or wireless connection to a smartphone. Instead, it has its own 5.5-inch HD display, an integrated quad-core processor and 1GB of RAM, while running Android 4.4 KitKat. It comes with its own 9-axis motion sensor and promises greater accuracy than that of a smartphone. It is an interesting alternative to the HTC Vive and Samsung Gear VR, with the announcement of its release date expected soon.
