Amsterdam is the first city in the world to have a Virtual Reality cinema. It was the creation of Samhoud Media, the man responsible for a number of temporary virtual reality cinemas in various cities around Europe. The cinema is entirely based on 360-degree videos with the noticeable absence of the a big-screen. Instead, Samsung Gear VR devices are used, powered by Samsung Galaxy S6 smartphones and Sennheiser headphones. Another difference is related to the seats: traditional rows are now replaced with chairs that rotate through 360 degrees. As expected, the halls can only fit 50 people per viewing, with movies lasting 30 minutes. This experience can be yours for the price of €12.5, while the company’s next destinations will be London, Paris, Berlin and Madrid.
