Like every year, Forbes magazine has once again published its list with the richest people for 2016. First place for the 17th time went to Bill Gates, owner and founder of Microsoft, followed by Spaniard Amancio Ortega, co-founder of the Zara chain. The Top 3 is concluded by Warren Buffet, Berkshire Hathaway investor, followed by Carlos Slim Helu, manager of the largest part of the Mexican telecommunications, Jeff Bezos of Amazon.com, and Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg. The top 10 is completed by Larry Ellison of Oracle, Michael Bloomberg of Bloomberg LP and brothers Charles and David Koch of the Koch Industries. The statistics resulting from the list throughout the last 30 years are particularly interesting: the leading country in billionaires is the USA, with China and Germany next in line. The female sex is not absent from the list, but make up only a small percentage, as only 190 of the 1,810 billionaires are women. Lastly, only 5 people have managed to conquer the position of the richest person on Earth, 3 of whom remain in the top five today.
